Construction

  • Conductors – Sizes 14-10 AWG: solid, annealed THHN copper with solid copper ground; sizes 8 AWG and larger: stranded, annealed copper with solid copper ground
  • Conductor Insulation – Color-coded Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) compound meeting the required thickness of Type THHN/THWN with a heat-stabilized nylon jacket rated for 90°C in dry locations
  • Metal-Clad Armor – Lightweight aluminum interlocking armor

Applications

  • Commercial buildings in raceways, walls with metal studs and cable trays
  • Suitable for large places of public assembly, industrial manufacturing facilities and processing plants
  • Theaters (Article 520), motion picture/TV studios (Article 530), and assembly spaces with over 100 people (Article 518)
  • Secondary feeders in industrial and commercial distribution systems; supplying electricity to station auxiliaries in power stations; in approved raceways or as open run; cable trays; exposed or concealed
  • Handles branch, feeder and service circuits (Articles 230-243)
  • Class I, Div. 2, Class II, Div. 2 and Class III, Div. 1 hazardous locations
